Valentine's Day
Both boys really enjoyed Valentine's day. They loved looking at all their cards and seeing who they were from. Of course, they like all the treats that came with many of the cards. Bradley took those trinkets and spelled out a message. It says, "I love you mom". Click on the picture for a larger view.

Pass the Smokes
Ben has done some growing up this week. First, he started swearing. One morning he said, "dammit", but he didn't use it in context, so I wasn't sure if he was trying to swear. He later added "you only say that at home". That must mean he has been swearing at school too. Maybe he snuck off to a football game with Poppy when I wasn't looking. On Valentine's day, Ben started drinking coffee. Both mommy and daddy were enjoying an after work latte, when Ben said that he wanted to try coffee. We obliged. He liked the mint mocha and went back for seconds. Bradley had a taste too, but found it "too minty".

First Snow Day

Since we had about 20 inches of snow, kindergarten was canceled and daycare was closed. The boys didn't mind. They like to help shovel, although for very brief periods. The first picture is from Wednesday morning. The snow doesn't look too deep since we had already cleared the driveway twice the day before. The boys helped shovel for about 15 minutes in the morning. We went out again around lunch. Ben helped for another 15 minutes, but Bradley stayed out longer and help clear the snow from the bottom of the driveway.

B.H. Phone Home
Bradley placed his first phone call on Sunday. With this being the 21st century and all, Bradley by-passed the 19th century land-line technology and went cellular, 3G to be exact. While sitting at Taco Bell with daddy, he dialed his home telephone number from memory and chatted with mommy. I couldn't get a picture of Bradley making the call, since the camera was in the phone, but this is how he looked right after.

Bed for Sale Part 2
Remember when Ben wouldn't sleep in his bed? Well, he is back at it. His alternate sleeping location include on the floor next to his nightlight, between his bookcase and bed, behind his bedroom door, and next to Bradley's bed. His latest spot is in the closet. Ben takes all his pillows, blankets, and friends in there with him. It does look very comfy in there.

Daddy's Turn
On Day 5, Daddy got to take the boys on a field trip. We went bowling. It was a lot of fun. I think we set a record for world's longest bowling game. It took about 45 minutes for the 3 of us to play one game. I am not sure our scores because somehow the frames got messed up. However, Ben scored around 68 and Bradley was about 81.

Getting Tangled Up
Jump!

The day 2 field trip was an outing to Monkey Joe's. Baby Damian went with. Ben liked playing Guitar Hero. Some of Bradley's friends from the Y were at Monkey Joe's, so he had plenty of fun until he hurt his pinky finger. Later in the day, daddy and the boys took the annual trip to see the arboretum trains.
