It turns out yesterday's inaugural two wheel bike ride for Ben was not
without incident. Don't worry about Ben. He is fine. It is the garage
frame that has been damaged. Nobody mentioned this little detail to me
yesterday. However, when I was pulling the car into the garage this
afternoon, I found a hole in the aluminum frame. Ben confessed that he
ran into the garage with his bike.

Summer Goal Achieved!
One of our goals for Ben this summer was for him to ditch the training wheels. Well, two days into summer break, he mastered it. I didn't have to hold him up or run along side him. He just did it. Ben's training wheels hadn't been giving him much support, so removing them wasn't a big change.
Brad switched to two wheels when he was 5 and 1/4. Ben just turned six. However, when you factor in the seasons, I would call it a tie. Brad was born a month earlier in the year and dropped the training wheels at the very end of summer. Ben was pretty close last year, but didn't have it figured out before summer ended.
Ben's other goal for the summer is learning to tie shoes. I don't that will be as easy as this one.
