Getting Ready for Summer

Now that Ben's swimming lessons are wrapped up, Bradley gets a turn. This is the first time Brad has a swimming class without a parent in the water.

Maybe Bradley Can Learn a Lesson from Ben

Look who's trying to grow up. Ben sat on the potty completely voluntarily tonight. (Unlike some other member of the household.) We couldn't get him out of there. He even requested a sticker after his unsuccessful attempt at using the potty.

Show Me the Money

Bradley was very excited to get money in his Valentine cards. He quickly decided that he was going to take that money to McDonald's and get chicken nuggets, french fries, and milk. I think we were able to talk him out of that. Instead he took two dollars and bought a train ticket for himself and another one for Ben.

Here Comes the Jinx

It has been nearly 4 years in the making, but we have finally got Brad to sleep through the night. Every night he would either crawl into our bed or cry until someone laid in his bed. Now he stays in his bed all night. He also used to wake us up early, but now plays in his room until someone comes to get him. We are going on three weeks of this new and improved behavior.

The Rockers

Bradley and Ben dressed up like their favorite musicians today. Ben is Bono and Bradley is Elton John.

Baby's Second

We've had so many "baby's first" posts, that I though I would try a "baby's second" for a change. So here it is...Ben's second swim class. He definitely likes the water. Ben is also just like his brother in that he loves jumping into the water.

I Hate Snow

I lost count of how many times I cleared the driveway last week. However, watching the children play in the snow makes it slightly more tolerable.

Trains, Trains, and More Trains

The boys sure got their fill of trains during the holidays. On the Friday before Christmas, we went to Lilac Park to look at the lights and visit Santa. They also had a little train ride that we took a ride on. On the way to the car, a commuter train passed by. The next day, we saw the model trains at the arboretum. That same night, we met Jimmy and Josie at the All Aboard Diner. On Monday, Ben & Bradley went to the library and played with the wooden train set there. Grandma and Grandpa had never been to a train restaurant, so they took the boys to Two Toots on Christmas Eve. Ben would spot the real trains outside the restaurant and call out "choo choo". Then, to top it all off, they received a train set from Gram Gram Betty.
