Goodbye?

I spent the evening licking envelopes for the birth announcements. The whole time, all I could think about was the Seinfeld episode where George's fiancee died after licking her wedding invitation envelopes. George had bought super cheap envelopes, whereas we did not. Hopefully, I will make it, but if not, think of me when you open that envelope.

I should have had Bradley help me with the envelopes. He has been generating a lot of slobber lately. It would have been nice to put that slobber to use and it would have been a nice personal touch that you usually don't see in birth announcements.

Baptism

Bradley was baptized on Sunday. All of the local family was there and we had lunch afterward.

Bradley is pictured with his godparents.

Picnic

We had a wonderful picnic at the Arboretum yesterday. I didn't get any pictures of Bradley, but did take a shot of the lake.

No crayons!

We went back to Friday's restaurant. We weren't offered a children menu, unlike last time. We didn't get crayons either, but Bradley did get a balloon.

Wax On, Wax Off

Bradley watched his first Kung Fu movie today:Kung Fu Hutsle. It is better than Shaolin Soccer. The special effects are very good, almost Matrix-esqe.

Busy Weekend

We really packed in the fun this weekend. On Saturday we went to the zoo for the first time! Later in the day we went to the pool. Bradley is too little to swim, so he just stuck his toes in. On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa came over and we all went to a concert. During the show, Bradley got to play on the tanks that were near the concert site. And to top it all off, Bradley's favorite driver won the big race today.

Sooooo big

Today is Bradley's 3 month birthday and he weighed in at 15 pounds and 25 inches. That keeps him at the 85 percentile. That's big, but OK, since we are almost out of small diapers.

Postal Service

Bradley received his first piece of mail yesterday and it was from none other than the US Government. It was his social security card, which, sadly, is probably the only thing he will ever get from the Social Security Administration. I take that back. He'll probably get his fair share of despair and frustration.

He also got his second piece of mail today. It was addressed to our family, but contained Bradley's park district number. Just in case he wants to register for any classes in the fall.

Now that his name and address is out there, I am starting a pool to pick the date of Bradley's first piece of junk mail. Side bets will be taken for first credit card offer.
