Halloween

There is no candy in the bucket. So what does little Bradley do? Try to eat the bucket.

Fall Colors

We went to the Arboretum today and saw all the fall colors. I went a little crazy with the camera. I took 176 pictures of Bradley today.

Dog Gone Cute

I got very excited while taking pictures this weekend. Every time I said Bradley's name, he would turn towards me and then I would take a picture. Had Bradley already learned his own name? Using my science degree (thanks mom, thanks dad), I decided to try an experiment. I said the word "Steelers" and Bradley turned towards me :-(

Flip Flop

Well, it finally happened last night. Regular readers of the blog know that Bradley has been able to roll onto his stomach for almost two months now. Last night was the first time he rolled onto his back. I thought for sure it was going to happen during the day. He was up on his knees and wiggling his butt back and forth in the afternoon, but never made it all the way over. Twice during the night I had left him on his stomach only to find him later on his back.

New Toy

Bradley started using the exersaucer this weekend. There are a lot of good activities and he seems to like them all.

Disaster Preparedness

I was supposed to go to a meeting in Florida next week, but it was cancelled due to Wilma. If we ever have a hurricane or flood here, we are ready. All we need to is build a diaper levee and we will be safe.

More Motion

Bradley is still moving around a lot in his crib. The other morning I left him on his back at the one end. When I checked on him later, he was on his stomach in the middle of the crib. When he woke up he has still on his tummy, but back to the starting point. That means he did a complete 180.

The little one was up from 2:30 - 4:00 this morning. (Therefore, there is a temporary ban on singing the Bradley song.) He went back to sleep on his stomach in the middle of the bed. Later he was on his side with his back us against the side. This is big news! It means, if he had room, he would have rolled onto his back for the first time.

Motion

We left Bradley at one end of the crib on his back last night. This morning, he was all the way to the other end and on his stomach.

Mouth - part 2

Yesterday's post was about things going into Bradley's mouth. Today's is about things coming out of his mouth. In addition to the usual drool, we have some new babbling. He was very talkative after school today. Have a look at the video. Note: the video hosting site goes down a lot. You may have to try again later.

The Mouth

It is amazing what Bradley will put into his mouth. Anything within reach is fair game. Guess which of these items has not made it into his mouth (yet!). Click the comments link below to post your guess.

Still growing

Bradley is up to nearly 18 pounds. That's the 78th percentile. His length is 90th percentile.

Table for 3

It is interesting to see the different ways restaurants treat infants. You may recall that Bradley was given a children's menu at Friday's a couple month's ago. Well, tonight we went to Red Lobster. I told the host that our party had two adults and one baby. We were offered a choice of smoking or non-smoking. I picked non-smoking.

When we got home, Bradley ate oatmeal cereal for the first time. He had only been eating rice cereal until now.

Baby's first...

Hail storm. Bradley's reaction: keep on napping.

Defeat

Purdue lost big on Saturday. I am not sure why. Bradley was napping in victory formation before the game. That didn't seem to help the team. Anyhow, Bradley behaved well for our sitter. He didn't wake up when we picked him up a midnight. The best news of all was that Bradley slept in for a change. He didn't wake up until 7:30.
